What is Cat Sitting?
Unlike boarding, where your cat is in a new, unfamiliar place surrounded by other animals, cat sitting allows your cat to stay in their own home, keeping their routine intact and minimizing stress. Cats are territorial and can feel anxious when taken out of their environment, but with me, they get one-on-one attention in the comfort of their own space.
Plus, there’s no need to pack up their things or deal with the hassle of transporting them—just peace of mind knowing they’re cared for exactly as they like it!
How do I book?
Just click the link to head to my Cat in a Flat profile and select the 'Get in touch' button. You'll be asked to sign-up for an account if you don't already have one, then just follow the simple steps to send me an enquiry. I'll get back to you as quickly as possible to confirm my availability or answer any questions you may have.
What should I expect after submitting an enquiry/booking?
I'll respond to you as quickly as possible and if I am available on your chosen dates, I'll ask for a suitable date and time to arrange your free 'Meet and Greet'.
During the 'Meet and Greet', I'll come to your home to meet you and learn all about your cat, their needs and routine, and where to find everything I need to deliver the best possible care. If you're happy and ready to do so, I'll also ask you to provide a copy of your house key or arrange to stop by to grab the key on another day if necessary.
Then on your chosen dates and agreed times, I'll visit your home to care for your cat and provide daily updates and photos to let you know how they're getting on.
Finally, I'll make arrangements to return your key in person. I do ask that you be present rather than putting the key through the letterbox or leaving it on the side to ensure that I can continue to look after your cat in the event of an unexpected delay or emergency where you may need to extend the booking.
What payment methods do you accept? How do I pay you?
I currently take all my bookings and payments via Cat in a Flat. Cat in a Flat accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, American Express, and MasterCard. They will walk you through the payment process when confirming you wish to proceed with the booking. I am unable to accept direct payment or cash.
Do you charge extra during peak times?
No - your cat deserves the same amount of love and attention I deliver with every visit, so there are no additional fees for peak periods such as the summer holidays or the festive season.
Why do I need a Cat in a Flat account?
I currently take all my bookings and payments via a reputable third-party provider. This ensures that we both remain safe and secure and are covered by the Cat in a Flat guarantee. You can learn more here.
